About
Ignoring Izzy is a London post-punk outfit that combines fast-paced jazz, with psychedelia and pulsing electronic instumentals. Their debut single, What I Need, was hailed as "dripping with a freakish and distorted sensuality," bewitching the listener with sultry vocals, synths and percussion.
Manchild are a jazz/electronica trio from Leeds. Starting out with tributes to artists such as Herbie Hancock, Knower and Ennio Morricone, the band have now taken to playing original material, with some of their most notable gigs have been supporting Red Snapper at Brudenell and playing a Sofar gig in London.
Despondent ballads from an optimist with themes of loss, nostalgia and forward motion, Posturing combines traditional songwriting inspired by the likes of Carol King and Jeff Buckley with a droned soundscape that cushions the songs and emulatesthe noise of a busy brain. Often mixing piano ballads with shoegaze wooze.
